This image was produced following a tutorial in the Computer Arts Photoshop Handbook 2.
The tutorial used a copyrighted professional studio portrait of a beautiful model and the architectural features used were photographed in Toronto by Derek Lea, who was commissioned to do the picture for the cover of one of the Computer Arts magazines.
I used the architectural pieces in my efforts to follow the tutorial, but I did not use the copyrighted photograph. This is a photograph of myself which I took with my digital camera using the timer. I tried three different days with different lighting, but never really got the photo right. In spite of that, I am pleased with the way the image turned out, especially as it is really the first thing I have ever produced in Photoshop.
More of Derek Lea's wonderful digital imagery can be seen at his website www.dereklea.com.
